What the cameras should cover

  • ATM vestibule
  • Branch entrance
  • Outside vantage points and parking
  • Cash and teller counters
  • Strong room and vault approach

Recommended setup

  • 5MP or higher cameras where the SBP instruction applies
  • An NVR sized for the retention period your bank's SOP sets
  • A UPS or inverter on the recorder and cameras, so recording continues during load-shedding
  • A written list of cameras and positions for your audit file

Questions from banking clients

What camera resolution do banks need?

The SBP instruction reported in October 2024 sets a minimum of 5MP for ATM vestibules, entrances and outside views. We quote 5MP or higher for those positions.

How long must a bank keep recordings?

The retention period comes from your bank's own security SOP. Tell us the number of days and we size the storage to it.

Can you work across several branches?

Yes. Choose 'School, factory, bank, hall, petrol pump or tender' in the form and tell us how many branches.
